Remcon Guardsafe 42P Water-Filled Pivot Barricade

Build a connected boundary that follows the demands of your job site. The Remcon Guardsafe 42P water-filled barricade combines a 42-inch-high profile with pivoting connections for straight runs, corners, and changing access routes. Each 72-inch-long section connects using an included plastic pin, allowing turns of up to 90 degrees without separate corner pieces.

Designed for temporary traffic channelization, pedestrian routing, and perimeter definition, the Guardsafe 42P suits construction sites, checkpoints, laydown yards, and phased data center or campus projects where layouts change as work progresses.

Pivot Around Corners Without Extra Connection Hardware

The “P” stands for pivot. A rotationally molded plastic connection pin is supplied with each barricade, allowing connected sections to turn through angles of up to 90 degrees. Create directional changes and access-point layouts without adding dedicated corner sections, adapters, or extra connection hardware.

The Guardsafe 42P also connects to Guardsafe 36 barricades. Combine 36-inch and 42-inch sections in one continuous line where different areas call for different barricade heights.

Fencing Options for Walkways and Perimeter Layouts

Rolled fencing or fence panels can be fitted at the hinge points, allowing the fencing to articulate with the connected barricade line. This provides additional height for defining pedestrian routes, restricted areas, and site boundaries. A Fence Topper Panel is available as an optional add-on.

Place Before Filling, Drain Before Relocating

Each unit weighs 90 pounds empty and can be positioned by a two-person crew before ballast is added. Two forklift pockets in the base provide access for machine handling.

• Top fill opening: A 3-inch threaded port with a gripped cap provides access for adding water or sand.
• Bottom drainage: Two 2-inch threaded drain plugs, one on each side, open using a 2-inch bung wrench.
• Water ballast: A 15-inch water depth corresponds to approximately 65.8 US gallons.
• Storage: Stackable construction helps organize barricades between deployments.

Visibility and Durability for Outdoor Use

The rotationally molded polyethylene body withstands weather, ultraviolet exposure, and repeated deployment. A molded-in light pocket accepts standard barricade warning lights, while flat side faces provide surfaces for reflective striping.

Custom colors, molded-in graphics, and stenciling are available. Use these options to identify equipment or establish consistent visual zones for pedestrian walkways, traffic routes, and restricted areas across larger sites.

MASH TL-2 Testing Status

The Guardsafe 42P is a Longitudinal Channelizing Device (LCD) that meets MASH TL-2 criteria. FHWA eligibility is pending. Configurations with fencing have not been MASH tested.
